Do you think I'll get cancer if I use my laptop with its base touching my bare skin on my lap. It feels almost too warm. And strangely feels like battery acid is seeping into my flesh. Ouch.
Tonight I did not go out, even though its Friday, but dont you feel bad for me because I went out Wednesday and Thursday. And I didnt spend that much money at all, like I've been trying to tell you people, I am a cheap date. I've had a crazy week, I went from thinking about how crazy life as a lawyer will be to thinking about just how dreadful life as an associate at gordmans could possibly be, but I'm going to give it a fair shake. The store manager who ran orientation is a geniunely nice guy. Memorize the mission statement: To delight our guests with big savings on name brands, in fun, easy-to-shop stores. But wow, I guess this would mean I would have incentive to go back to Ohio for PKI [Paramount's Kings Island] this summer doesnt it? I mean that is more money , and something that I've already been given a leadership role at. Plus there are people there I've really grown accustom to seeing nightly.
Ack, okay personal life I dont think usually gets discussed on blogs for fear that the characters will stumble across the page. I am not about to take that risk, but all i have to say is ::Sigh::

You can read soccer365.com's adroit reporting of match highlights from Wednesday's 2:0 US victory over Mexico, which yes I am still excited about. Soccer victories leave you happy for days, and defeats leave you sickened for weeks.
My orientation went well tonight at Gordmans if not just profusely long. I dont think profusely is an appropriate adjective. [sarcasm] Who is ready to sell clothes?? Me!!! Woohoo! [/sarcasm] Who is ready to go to law school already?! Me!!!!!

I went to Kilbourne's class today (Music Theory) for the first time since last Wednesday, because Friday and Monday I was in Columbus, Ohio, for the Ohio State thing. And wednesday because I had the interview with Gordmans. Well anyway there was no one in the room at the normal class time. That is disconcerning.
At least I'm awake, which is not how I would be if I didnt have to go to class. Last night was fun, I went to Legends with Beau and Erica, and I dont think we won a Play Station 2, but that is what we were giving away. I just deposited 85.00 in my account but then today there was only 21.00 - and I had only really used my card for 10 dollars of groceries at Schnuck's so I dont know whats up with that.

Why are rejection letters so awful? There has got to be a better way of putting things like this. They really dont need the whole "hired another candidate whom we have determined to be a much better match for this position." do they? It could be, "we decided to hire another candidate."

I am so excited. USA v. Mexico from Columbus Crew Stadium in 45 minutes. Oh sure, the United States will turn in a disappointing performance and I'll be hoarse from screaming at my television but for right now, I'm proud of my country, my hometown club's stadium, and fans, and I hope that the US can beat the region's strongest team, Mexico.
I was offered a job at Gordmans today. In Men's Clothing. How exciting.

Today I was on the go again. To Chicago for an IHSA rules meeting. Two and half hours there, two and a half hours back, for a one hour meeting discussing rule changes I already knew had taken place in the fall, but the clinician was nice. The problem was that there was a gigantic asshole soccer coach sitting across from me, rolling his eyes when people asked questions and the meeting had to take longer. He wanted to fill out his form and go - this man is the reason that I hate people. Well certain people. Cause this is the type of guy that assaults soccer referees.
Kilborn was a rerun, unexpectedly.
I did not catch any of our brilliant president's state of the union address but i'm sure c-span will play it a few dozen times this week. Tomorrow I have a job interview with Gordman's a kind of upscale Kohl's that just opened up, lets hope it goes well and I will get a steady income started again.

Okay.
I have recently returned from a weekend preview of the Ohio State University College of Law. They had a lot of impressive things to say about the college and its making my decision to go there a bit easier. Still I haven't recieved my almost inevitable rejection letters from Northwestern and Chicago.
I had work tonight and still haven't watched Kilborn yet - but its on tape. Tomorrow I have to drive to Chicago for an IHSA clinic on soccer officiating. Maybe I'll learn something that will make 4 hours of travel worthwhile - or maybe I wont.
